Arthur Treacher'S Fish - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. fish fillet
buttermilk
1 lemon
1 1/2 pt. oil
white flour
2 c. pancake mix
2 1/2 c. club soda
Preparation

To remove fishy taste, slice lemon and place over fish.
Add just enough buttermilk to cover.
Cover and refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours.
Heat oil in heavy 2 1/2-quart saucepan.
Drain off milk. Cut fillets in half and dredge in flour.
In another bowl combine pancake mix and club soda until consistency of buttermilk.
Dip floured fillets into batter and let excess drip off into bowl. Deep-fry 4 minutes each side.
Warm in 250\u00b0 oven until all are fried.
