Country Fried Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 broiler-fryer
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. flour
    1 c. shortening
Preparation
    Cut fryer into serving pieces.
    Wash and drain dry.
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Dip chicken pieces into buttermilk and place in bag of flour and shake.
    Place chicken in 10-inch skillet in heated shortening.
    Cook until golden brown, turning once.
