Fresh Fruit Compote - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. light corn syrup
    1/4 c. orange juice
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. cherry juice
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Combine ingredients in a small saucepan.
    Bring to a boil and cook 3 minutes.
    Remove from heat. Chop 6 maraschino cherries and add them and three drops red food coloring to sauce.
    Refrigerate in covered container.
    Makes 1 1/2 cups sauce.
