Scandinavian Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 large tart apples
1 c. sugar
1 c. chopped nuts
2/3 c. melted butter
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cardamon
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Peel, core and chop apples; combine apples, sugar, nuts and butter in a large bowl.
Stir in eggs; add vanilla.
Sift together all dry ingredients and add to apple mixture, stirring until blended.
Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease 2 (8-inch) square cake pans.
Divide batter between pans and bake 45 to 50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Cool.
Can also be baked in a 9 x 13-inch dish; bake 50 to 60 minutes.
