Mom Parker'S Coconut Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 level Tbsp. flour
    2 level Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 egg whites, beaten
    meat of 1 fresh coconut, grated
    1 pie shell (9-inch), baked
Preparation
    Cook milk,
    sugar, flour, cornstarch and salt in double boiler until
    thick;
    stir
    often\tand
    cool.
    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites and grated coconut.\tSprinkle top of coconut and chill before serving.
