Texas Brownies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. strongly brewed coffee or water
1/4 c. dark, unsweetened cocoa
1/2 c. buttermilk or milk with 1/2 tsp. vinegar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

In large bowl, mix flour and sugar.
In saucepan, combine butter, shortening, coffee and cocoa.
Stir and heat to boiling. Pour boiling mixture over the flour and sugar; add buttermilk, eggs, baking soda and vanilla.
