My Favorite Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 round steaks, cut into thin strips
1/2 stick margarine
1 tsp. cooking oil
1/2 medium onion, chopped
1 can Campbell's consomme soup
1 Tbsp. caraway seed
4 oz. can mushrooms, drained
1/2 c. sour cream
1/2 c. dry red wine
Preparation

Melt margarine in skillet.
Brown meat on both sides in the margarine.
Sprinkle onion over meat in skillet.
Pour undiluted soup over meat and onion and add caraway seed.
Cover with skillet lid and simmer for 2 hours over very low heat.
Just before serving, add mushrooms, sour cream and wine and stir to mix. Serve over noodles or rice.
Serves about 6 to 8.
