Italian Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. anise seed
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lemon rind
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sliced almonds
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, lemon rind and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder, sliced almonds and anise seed.
Spread dough out on cookie sheet.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
Cool. Cut diagonally and place on cookie sheet under broiler until brown.
Yield:
about 3 dozen.
