Creamy Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. flour
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. margarine or butter
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cook flour and milk over low heat and stir until thickened. Set aside to cool.
    Combine shortening, sugar and margarine and beat on high for 4 minutes until creamy.
    Add cooled flour and milk mixture and beat all together another 4 minutes with a little vanilla, if desired.
    Can add any food color.
