Carrot Cake - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. Crisco oil
2 c. sugar
4 whole eggs, unbeaten
2 c. flour
3 large carrots, grated
3 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
pinch of salt
2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Mix oil and sugar, beat well.
Add eggs.
Sift flour and spices with baking soda and salt.
Add to sugar mixture.
Add carrots, a little at a time, and mix.
Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 350\u00b0 for 60 to 70 minutes until center is done.
