Goulash Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. beef, pork and veal, mixed, coarsely diced
    1 large onion, diced
    salt and pepper
    2 qt. water
    1 qt. tomatoes
    1 bay leaf
    2 sticks cinnamon
    Worcestershire sauce to taste
    2 Tbsp. oil or shortening
    1 large or 2 medium potatoes, grated
    4 oz. Port wine
Preparation
    Melt shortening or oil in Dutch oven.
    Put in meat and fry until it starts to brown.
    Add onion.
    Cook until golden.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Add 2 quarts of water, bay leaf and cinnamon.
    Cook for 45 minutes, covered.
    Then add the tomatoes and Worcestershire sauce.
    Cover.
    Cook 30 minutes more.
