Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium chicken
    black pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    1 1/2 Tbsp. shortening
    5 or 6 bouillon cubes
    enough warm water to form firm dough
Preparation
    Boil chicken in large pan.
    Boil until tender, making sure to keep plenty of water above chicken.
    Once tender, remove chicken and debone; remove unwanted skin.
    Breaking into small pieces, add back to broth.
    After bringing back to a boil, turn to medium heat.
    While chicken is boiling, add bouillon cubes.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Now add dumpling slices to broth slowly, allowing the dumplings to cook in the hot broth.
