Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    2 c. sugar
    4 c. rich milk
    1 pt. half and half
    1 pt. whipping cream
    4 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    milk
    fresh fruit, coffee, flavorings (if desired)
Preparation
    Beat eggs. Add sugar gradually until thick.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Fill container to 4-inches from top with regular milk or more half and half or whipping cream. Add other flavorings, if desired (2 to 4 cups fresh fruit or 1/4 cup finely ground coffee or instant coffee is yummy).
    Makes 2 quarts.
