Portuguese Sweet Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 or more c. flour
    2 pkg. yeast
    3 c. milk
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    5 eggs
Preparation
    Mix half the flour and yeast.
    Heat milk, sugar, shortening and salt just to melt shortening.
    Let cool to lukewarm; add to dry ingredients with eggs.
    Mix well and start adding flour.
    Mix with hands until dough becomes stiff.
    Knead until smooth. Grease tops of dough and let rise until double.
    Form into 3 loaves; let double.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
