Cheese Balls(Microwave) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. Cheddar, Colby or Monterey Jack
    1/2 c. butter
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    2 finely chopped onions
    chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cut
    cheese,
    butter and cream cheese in 1-inch pieces. Place in medium
    bowl in microwave at 30% power for 1 to 3 1/2 minutes or until slightly softened, stirring and rotating bowl every 30 seconds.
    Mash the mixture with a fork until smooth. Stir in onions.
    Divide
    in
    half.
    Shape into 2 (3 1/2 inch) balls.
    Toll in
    a
    coating
    of
    1
    cup
    finely chopped nuts. Refrigerate at least 3 hours.
    Store no longer than 1 week.
