Texas Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. corn meal
    1 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    3/4 c. vegetable oil
    1 c. sour cream
    1 (16 oz.) can cream-style corn
    3 jalapeno peppers, chopped
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Combine first 3 ingredients in mixing bowl.
    Add eggs, oil and sour cream and stir until blended.
    Stir in corn and peppers. Pour half the batter in a buttered 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
    Cover with Cheddar cheese.
    Add rest of batter and bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
