Mom'S Plum Tarts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    4 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. shortening
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 grated lemon rind
    2 (12 oz.) jars red plum jam
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients except jam.
    Grease and flour 4 (8-inch) round cake pans.
    Press dough in pans.
    Spread plum jam on top of each.
    Bake on top rack for 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Makes 4 (8-inch) tarts.
