Company Best Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 medium cucumbers
    5 tsp. salt
    4 c. vinegar
    8 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. pickling spices
Preparation
    Cover whole cucumbers with boiling water.
    Allow to stand until next morning.
    Drain, repeat this procedure for the next 3 mornings.
    On the fifth day, drain and slice into 1/2-inch slices. Combine sugar, spices, salt and vinegar.
    Bring to a boil and pour over the cucumbers.
    Let stand 2 days.
    On the third day, pack the cucumbers into sterile jars, heat the syrup to boiling and pour over the cucumbers.
    Seal.
