Caramel Corn - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 qt. popped corn
1 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Spread popped corn in large shallow pan.
Hold in 250\u00b0 oven to keep crisp.
Combine remaining ingredients except soda.
Cook at medium, stirring to dissolve sugar and prevent sticking, until a drop of the syrup forms a firm ball in a cup of water (248\u00b0). Then stir in the soda.
Pour over corn and mix well to coat evenly.
Return to oven for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Can also add nuts.
This can be frozen and served later in bags.
