Caramel Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large c. sugar
1 Tbsp. butter
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. sugar
2 egg yolks
3 c. milk
1/2 c. milk
Preparation

Mix cornstarch with 1 teaspoon sugar and egg yolks.
Brown butter and sugar in pan until brown like light brown sugar.
Add 3 cups of milk, stirring continually.
Add about 1/2 cup of milk to cornstarch, sugar and egg mixture.
Add this to milk and browned sugar mixture after it comes to a boil.
Stir continually.
Place caramel sauce in baked pie shell and top with meringue topping.
