Sweet Tomato Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 peck ripe tomatoes
    8 onions
    1/4 c. salt
    1 pt. white vinegar
    2 lbs. brown sugar
    2 T. mustard seed
Preparation
    Peel and slice tomatoes and onions. Add salt and let stand several hours. Drain, and add white vinegar. Simmer 2-3 hours, and when nearly thick, add brown sugar and mustard seed. Can while hot.
