Ingredients

1 1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
2/3 c. butter flavor Crisco
1 Tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/3 c. cocoa powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. (12 oz. pkg.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Combine brown sugar, Crisco, water and vanilla in large bowl.
Beat at medium speed until well blended. Beat in eggs.
Add flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
Beat at low speed until blended.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 7 to 9 minutes or until cookies are set. Do not overbake.
Cookies should be soft and moist.
Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet before removing to foil.
Makes 3 dozen cookies.
