Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

1 pkg. yellow cake mix
2 large pkg. vanilla pudding
1 1/2 c. coconut
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 c. maraschino cherries
1 (12 oz.) carton Cool Whip
Preparation

Mix cake as directions on package and bake in 9 x 13-inch pan.
Cool.
Prepare pudding according to package.
