Jello Pretzel Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large box Jell-O
    2 c. hot water
    1 c. cold water
    2 c. crushed pretzels (thin)
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 sticks butter, softened
    8 oz. cream cheese, softened
    1 c. sugar
    8 oz. Cool Whip, defrosted
Preparation
    Dissolve Jell-O in hot water.
    Stir in cold water.
    Cool in refrigerator but do not jell.
    Blend pretzels, sugar and butter. Press into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 minutes.
    Cool. Combine cream cheese, 1 cup sugar and Cool Whip.
    Spread mixture over cooked pretzels.
    Add fresh fruit to Jell-O (optional) and pour mixture over cream cheese.
    Chill.
