Ingredients

4 large sweet potatoes
1 c. molasses
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. milk
1 c. butter
grated skin of 1 lemon and 1 orange
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
4 eggs
Preparation

Grate the potatoes.
Beat butter and sugar until creamy.
Add well beaten eggs and blend well.
Add grated potatoes, spices and milk.
Beat well together.
Add the grated lemon and orange skins. Pour mixture in a well-buttered pan and bake slowly about an hour. It may be served hot or cold, cut in slices.
It is delicious when served at luncheon with a glass of fresh cold milk.
