Ingredients

3 c. dried apples
3 c. syrup
1 c. butter
3 eggs
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 c. raisins
Preparation

Soak apples overnight in cold water. Chop raisins fine and stew with syrup until soft but not pulpy. Cool. Mix with apple mixture. Add remaining ingredients for batter. Bake until it tests done.
