Apple Crisp Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large tart apples, peeled, cored and sliced
    1 c. graham cracker crumbs
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
    1 c. light brown sugar
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. grated orange rind
    pinch of salt
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    juice of 1 lemon
    whipped cream or Cool Whip
Preparation
    Mix the crumbs, flour, nuts and sugars together.
    Season with orange rind, salt and spices.
    Moisten with butter.
    Cover the bottom of a lightly buttered 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish with a layer of apples.
    Scatter some of crumb mixture over the top and sprinkle with lemon juice.
    Repeat, ending with crumbs.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes and serve warm with whipped cream or Cool Whip.
    Makes 6 servings.
