Zucchini Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 c. zucchini, unpeeled
    4 c. onion
    3 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. turmeric
    2 tsp. celery seed
    2 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Grate or chop (or use blender) zucchini and onions.
    Put 5 tablespoons salt (canning) over this mixture and let set overnight. Drain and rinse.
    Put all ingredients into a 5-quart cooker.
    Bring to a boil, then simmer 10 to 15 minutes.
    Put in hot jars and seal.
