Caramel Date Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
2 c. packed light brown sugar
1/2 c. softened butter
1/2 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Mix flour, brown sugar and butter in bowl. Mix in dates and pecans. Mix egg, buttermilk and baking soda in small bowl and add to flour mixture with vanilla. Spoon into greased and floured 8 x 8-inch cake pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 50 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool for several minutes, then remove and cool completely.
