Chocolate-Caramel Layer Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (14 oz.) bag caramels
    2/3 c. evaporated milk, divided
    1 (18 oz.) pkg. German chocolate cake mix
    3/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate drops
Preparation
    Combine caramels and 1/3 cup of the milk in top of double boiler.
    Melt, stirring constantly, until completely melted. Remove from heat (keep warm so it will not harden).
