Cioppino(Cha-Pee-No) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. fresh fish fillets (cod works well)
    1 large green pepper
    2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
    2 cloves minced garlic
    1 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
    1 small can tomato paste, mixed thoroughly with 1 c. white or red wine
    3 Tbsp. snipped fresh parsley
    1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
    1/4 tsp. dried and crushed or freshly snipped oregano
    dash of pepper
    1/4 tsp. dried and crushed or freshly snipped basil
    12 oz. frozen shelled shrimp
    1 (6.5 oz.) can minced clams
Preparation
    Thaw shrimp, if frozen.
    Remove any skin from fish fillets and cut fillets into 1-inch pieces.
    Set aside.
    Cut green pepper into 1/2-inch squares.
