Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 tsp. basil
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 scant Tbsp. salt
    2 lb. stew meat, cut into cubes
    1/3 c. tapioca
    2 medium onions, cut up
    3 stalks celery, cut up
    6 potatoes, cut up
    4 carrots, cut up
    1 large can V-8 juice
Preparation
    Mix all together in roaster; cover and put in oven at 275\u00b0 for 4 to 5 hours.
    Serves 8.
