Gooey Caramel Brownies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

50 caramels
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
12 oz. chocolate chips
1 c. walnuts
3/4 c. butter, melted
Preparation

Unwrap caramels and melt in top of double boiler with 1/3 cup of evaporated milk; set aside.
Mix together the cake mix, remaining 1/3 cup evaporated milk, 1 cup chocolate chips, nuts and melted butter.
Mix dough until it holds together.
Press 1/2 of dough into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 6 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Spread caramel mixture over the top.
Sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips.
Put remaining half of dough on top.
(You have to do this in \"pinches\".)
Return to oven and bake an additional 15 to 18 minutes.
Cool; refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Cut into bars.
Makes 2 dozen.
