Pa Dutch Pepper And Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. water
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    4 Tbsp. oil
    1 Tbsp. ground black pepper
    4 or 5 bay leaves
    5 or 6 big onions
    1/4 bushel sweet peppers
Preparation
    Slice onions and peppers; sprinkle with salt (easy on the salt).
    Bring the rest of the ingredients to a boil, then add peppers and onions.
    Cook until tender.
    Cold pack can.
