Candied Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. apples
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Wash, quarter and core apples.
    (Rome Beauties work best.) Place apples in a saucepan with sugar and water.
    Cook slowly, uncovered, and stir frequently for about 1 hour or until apples are transparent.
