Ingredients

3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. oil
3 onions
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
Preparation

Sift flour and salt into bowl.
Add milk, oil and egg.
Beat until smooth.
Peel and slice onions into 1/4-inch rings. Separate into rings.
Dip each into batter and drop a few at a time into hot oil.
Fry 2 or 3 minutes, turning a few at a time. Drain on paper towels.
Best fried in iron frying pan in 1 inch of oil.
