Banana Split Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. graham cracker crumbs
    3 sticks margarine
    2 c. powdered sugar
    1 egg
    3 bananas, sliced
    1 large can crushed pineapple, drained
    2/3 c. nuts, chopped
    pinch of salt
    8 oz. Cool Whip
    1 small jar maraschino cherries
Preparation
    Press graham cracker crumbs with 1 stick of melted margarine in a 12 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Let it set.
    Beat 2 sticks melted margarine, powdered sugar and egg for 15 minutes (this is very necessary). Add pinch of salt and pour over graham cracker crumb crust. Arrange sliced bananas and pineapple on top of this. Spread thawed Cool Whip on the above mixture. Sprinkle with nuts. Chill overnight.
    Decorate each serving with a maraschino cherry.
