Soft Ginger Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. baking molasses
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    4 c. flour, sifted very lightly
Preparation
    Cream sugar well with margarine.
    Stir soda into buttermilk. Combine the ingredients and drop on a greased and floured cookie sheet.
    Brush top with well beaten egg.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for approximately 10 to 12 minutes.
