Brisket - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. 2nd cut brisket
    32 oz. spaghetti sauce
    1 can mushrooms
    2 lb. baking potatoes, quartered
    2 onions, diced
    2 c. water
    salt, pepper and garlic to taste
Preparation
    Day One: Rinse meat well. Combine 16 ounces sauce, water, onions and seasonings in large pot on top of stove. Place brisket in pot, fat side up (should be almost covered). Cook until it starts to boil, then lower heat to medium. Add sauce if needed and cook for 2 1/2 hours. Let stand 45 minutes. Slice against the grain on an angle in thin pieces. Put slices back in pot and let sit for 3 hours. Place in refrigerator overnight.
