Baptist Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. shortening
    5 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Have
    butter
    and
    eggs
    at
    room
    temperature.
    Cream butter, shortening\tand
    sugar
    good.
    Add eggs one at a time. Sift flour and baking powder together, then add milk and flour to mixture.
    Place
    in a greased and lightly floured tube pan. Place in a
    cold\toven
    and
    bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 300\u00b0.
