Low-Fat Split Pea Soup(Serves 6) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. split green peas
    4 large carrots, diced small
    2 large onions, diced
    1 stalk celery with leaves, chopped
    1/4 lb. turkey ham, diced (optional)
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cook peas until nearly tender, about 2 hours.
    Add the remaining ingredients and cook until mushy and hot.
