Eric'S Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 can peanuts
Preparation
    In a heavy skillet, over low heat, put white sugar.
    Stir slowly while melting.
    When liquid, take off fire and add butter and soda.
    Stir until bubbling stops.
    Butter well an 8 or 9-inch pan.
    Pour the peanuts.
    Pour hot syrup over platter or pan.
