Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 or 6 large green tomatoes
salt
flour (for dredging)
salt and pepper
6 slices lean bacon
Preparation

Cut tomatoes into 1/4-inch slices.
Salt to taste and let stand for 30 minutes.
Drain.
Fry bacon in large skillet until crisp, then remove to drain.
Reserve bacon fat in skillet. Season flour with salt and pepper and dredge tomato slices in seasoned flour.
Heat bacon fat and fry tomato slices until brown on both sides.
Serve on hot platter with crisp
bacon.
Serve with green salad and biscuits.
