Oatmeal Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 c. buttermilk or sour milk
    1 c. rolled oats
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. vegetable oil or melted shortening
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Mix flour, salt, baking powder and soda.
    Set aside.
    Add brown sugar to beaten egg and shortening.
    Mix well.
    Stir in dry ingredients, oats and buttermilk.
    Bake in greased muffin pans at 375\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Makes 1 dozen.
