Scandinavian Fish Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dried salt cod (may eliminate this)
    1 lb. haddock, cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces
    1 lb. potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
    2 green peppers, cut into 2-inch pieces
    2 tomatoes, cut into eighths
    1 medium onion, sliced
    2 cloves garlic, crushed
    1 bay leaf
    1 tsp. thyme
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3/4 c. white wine
Preparation
    Rinse salt cod and place in bowl.
    Cover with water and refrigerate 24 hours.
    Remove salt cod from water.
    Pat dry.
    Cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces.
    Place in slow cooker with remaining ingredients.
    Cook on simmer setting for 6 hours.
    Be sure to serve hot biscuits or crusty bread to dredge up the liquid and baked apples for dessert.
