Ingredients

1 qt. large firm berries
1/2 c. water
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
few drops red food coloring
1 baked pie shell, cooled
Cool Whip
Preparation

Mix half the strawberries, water and cornstarch.
Crush all together.
Add lemon juice, sugar, salt and coloring.
Cook, stirring constantly, about 5 minutes.
Cool.
Put rest of berries in pie crust.
Cover with glaze mixture.
Top with Cool Whip.
