New Year'S Day Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 cans (10 oz. each) black-eyed peas
1 (14 oz.) can chicken broth
1 (8 oz.) can tomatoes and green chilies or tomatoes
1/2 c. catsup
2 ribs chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
2 cloves chopped garlic
1 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Mash peas from one can.
Combine all ingredients in large stew pot and cook on low heat for 20 to 30 minutes.
Serve hot with sour dough bread anytime, but for \"good luck\" on New Year's Day. Makes 6 servings.
