Ingredients

1 c. oleo
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 1/2 c. flour
2 Tbsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. soda
Preparation

Cream oleo and vanilla; add sugar gradually.
Beat until fluffy.
Add eggs.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Add to mixture gradually.
Can be doubled.
Chill overnight for best results. Roll out 1/4 to 1/3-inch thick.
Use cookie cutters.
May sprinkle with colored sugar for holidays.
Bake at 350\u00b0 (electric oven) 6 to 8 minutes; 375\u00b0 (gas oven) 6 to 8 minutes.
