Whole Wheat Cranberry Bran Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. all-bran or crushed bran cereal with raisins
3/4 c. light brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. cranberries, chopped
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. orange juice
1/2 c. melted margarine or vegetable oil
Preparation

Combine flours, bran cereal, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda and nuts; mix well.
Combine cranberries and granulated sugar.
Stir sugared cranberries, egg, milk, orange juice and margarine into flour mixture all at once, but only until mixed.
Pour into greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Bake in oven for 60 to 70 minutes, or until firm in center.
Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove to rack and cool on long side before slicing.
Freezes well.
Makes 1 loaf.
