Pear Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. whole wheat flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. chopped, canned pears (29 oz. can)
    2/3 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream together shortening and sugars.
    Add egg; beat well. Sift together flour, baking soda, allspice, cinnamon and salt. Add to shortening mixture; stir in pears and nuts.
    Pour into greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Let stand until cool.
    Remove from pan.
